Steeplejack services
Today, Pendrich is a market leader in the high-level maintenance industry, servicing clients worldwide, carrying out work to various building elements such as chimney stacks, cooling towers, flare stacks and other high and unconventional structures.
In all stages of work, from pre-site meetings through to completion, Pendrich provides a professional and reliable service. Our trained and certified professionals have the skills to ensure that Pendrich remains a market leader in the steeplejack industry.
Industrial chimneys
From external windshield inspections to internal relining works, Pendrich can provide bespoke solutions to any problem that may develop in these buildings.
To this day, Pendrich Height Services has been able to provide access solutions and repair methods for every high-level chimney project it has been contracted for, from maintenance of school chimney stacks to the demolition of power station chimneys.
Flare stacks
From flare tip removals and replacements, Pendrich’s expert techniques are unrivalled in executing works on these structures.
Inspections and routine maintenance form a crucial part of our flare stack regime. Pendrich offers the expertise needed to maintain and extend the life of an operational flare stack, all achieved through the most cost-effective programme for the client.
Guywires and fabrication
After a successful acquisition of an international structural wire tensioning and replacement company, Pendrich is now one of the few companies able to tension and replace wires connected to high structures such as flare stacks, towers, masts and industrial chimneys.
This acquisition has also brought one of the most respected wire tensioning engineers in the country to our company, with log charts and calculations for most high-level structures in the UK and Europe at his disposal.
Blacksmiths/Coded Welders
Pendrich has invested heavily in this sector by opening our own fabrication shop. Our blacksmiths and steel fabricators use computer-aided design (CAD) to produce any components that may be required for both new builds and restoration projects.
All our coded welders are specifically trained as steeplejacks or rope access engineers, which gives us the versatility of being able to work on tall structures or carry out day-to-day fabrication works.
Rope access
Working from fail-safe anchors and using high-strength industrial ropes, Pendrich can work on large areas smoothly and effectively, moving both vertically and laterally with ease. Rope access technicians are also trained to work along beams and other supports.
Using a system of slings and attachments we can carry out a wide range of installation, maintenance and construction tasks which would otherwise require the use of costly towers or mobile platforms.
Historical monuments
Our sensitive approach to these buildings provides the client with confidence that the architectural importance of the structure will be respected whilst works are being carried out. Pendrich is proud to have been the first steeplejack company to work on York Minster and the Scott Monument in Edinburgh.
Pendrich offers every service required to identify and repair any aspect of historical structures, with qualified stonemasons and engineers who have the technical skills to see work through from the first survey to completion. Our rope access expertise allows us to provide this unrivalled comprehensive service without having to compromise on price.
